Zenmo is a self-control app for adults who want more space between impulse and action.
Choose the apps and websites that pull you in. When you open one, Zenmo presents a short on-device learning exercise before access. The gate is intentionally bypassable: it is a speed bump you choose, not a lock imposed on you.
Build a focus system that fits your day:
• Learn uses budgets and short exercises to add thoughtful friction.
• Deep Work creates focus schedules, Pomodoro rhythms, and optional allowlist friction.
• Detox sets a fixed, time-boxed commitment for selected apps or sites.
• Budgets keep hourly, daily, or weekly use visible.
• Relief valves include budgeted emergency passes and a separate 15-minute failsafe.
• Circle adds optional supervisors, personal consequences, commitments, and Karma without payments.
Android permissions and sensitive APIs:
• Optional AccessibilityService: Zenmo uses Android AccessibilityService only when you enable Picture-in-Picture protection. It reads the owning app identifier and PiP state of visible PiP windows so Zenmo can place its exercise gate above a selected app’s PiP window. It does not read screen text, taps, typed input, messages, screenshots, or media. You can decline or disable it at any time.
• Optional VpnService website filter: when you turn it on, Zenmo routes only DNS requests through an on-device rule matcher to apply the website limits you chose. Page traffic does not pass through Zenmo. DNS requests for allowed sites are encrypted with DNS-over-TLS and sent to Cloudflare Public DNS for resolution; Zenmo does not retain them or send them to its backend. The filter is not a general VPN, does not monetize traffic, and can be turned off at any time.
Privacy is part of the product. Your installed-app inventory, raw activity history, gate answers, configured website rules, and local match results stay on your device. If you connect a supervisor, separate controls let you approve specific aggregate categories or a selected app summary for that relationship. Zenmo is not parental control, employee monitoring, surveillance, or device administration.
Available in English, Uzbek, Russian, and Korean. Zenmo is intended for adults 18 and over.
