About this game

Play Mancala, the world's oldest family of strategy board games, with a beautiful wooden board, glossy glass seeds and a smart computer opponent. Five traditional rule sets in one free app: Kalah, Oware (Awalé, Ayo), Congkak (Sungka, Congklak, Dakon), Turkish Mangala and South Indian Pallanguzhi (Pallankuzhi).

HOW TO PLAY MANCALA
• Pick a house on your side and sow its seeds, one by one, counter-clockwise.
• Land your last seed in your store to take an extra turn. Chain them!
• End in an empty house of yours to capture the seeds opposite.
• When one side is empty the game ends. Most seeds in the store wins.

A GAME WITH HISTORY
Mancala games have been played for thousands of years across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Kalah (Kalaha) is the classic version played in America and Europe. Oware, also called Awalé, Awele or Ayo, is the national game of Ghana and loved across West Africa and the Caribbean. Congkak (Congklak, Dakon) is played in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei, and Sungka in the Philippines. Mangala is the traditional Turkish version. Pallanguzhi (Pallankuzhi, Pallanguli) is the classic seed game of Tamil Nadu and South India, with relay sowing and the famous capture of four.
