About this app

Your digital life doesn't leave a paper trail. ZeroKVault is an encrypted vault with a built-in dead man's switch that holds your accounts, keys, and messages and delivers them to the people who matter — only when they truly need them.

This is the official mobile companion app. It does one thing well: lets you check in to reset your delivery timer with a single tap, and wakes you with a push notification when you're getting close to a deadline.

How it works

1. Set up your vault on zerokvault.com — choose what to deliver, to whom, and on what schedule.
2. Install this app and sign in with your account. The app talks to the same vault.
3. Tap "Check in now" before each deadline to prove you're still here. Your timer resets.
4. Miss a check-in? You'll get reminder pushes. If something happens to you and you miss them all, we deliver your envelope to the people you chose.

What this app shows you

• Your current heartbeat status — green when healthy, escalating reminders as you approach the deadline
• Time remaining until the next reminder
• Time remaining until delivery if you don't check in
• When you last checked in
• A single button to check in right now

What this app does not do

• It does not store your vault contents on your phone
• It does not encrypt or hold your secrets
• It does not share location, run ads, or include analytics
• It does not work offline — every check-in confirms with the server, by design

Privacy

We collect the minimum needed to make the service work: your account email, a device identifier we generate locally, and a push notification token if you grant permission. We never sell or share your data, and the app contains no third-party trackers or ad SDKs. Push permission is optional — denying it never blocks any feature.

• A ZeroKVault account (sign up at https://www.zerokvault.com — there is no in-app signup)
• Android 7.0 or later
• An internet connection for check-ins (the app does not work offline)

ZeroKVault is built around the idea that the most important things you'd want to leave behind are the things hardest to leave: a wallet seed phrase, a password manager master key, a private letter. We hold them encrypted, we wait for your signal, and if your signal goes silent, we deliver them to the people you chose.

This mobile app is the simplest part of the system: a way to send your signal without opening a laptop.
