About this app

True North Prep is an independent, unofficial study aid for the Canadian Citizenship Test. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Canada or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and it does not provide, process, or facilitate any government service or application.

Learn Canada's history, government, rights and symbols a few minutes at a time. True North Prep turns the 11 topics of the Government of Canada's publicly available Discover Canada guide into plain-language study notes and 606 practice questions — free, in English and French, and fully offline.

STUDY SMARTER, NOT LONGER
• Read a short study note, then practise that topic right away
• Every answered question links to its source in the Discover Canada guide on canada.ca
• Flash mode for quick review on the bus, in line, or on a break
• Bookmark tricky questions and come back to them later
• Pick up any practice set right where you left off

PRACTISE AGAINST THE CLOCK
• Timed 20-question practice tests drawn from every topic
• Review your answers afterwards to see what to study next

STAY ON TRACK
• See which topics you've practised and how you scored
• Build a daily study streak, with an optional daily reminder
• Earn badges as you reach study milestones

MADE FOR YOU
• Switch between English and French at any time
• Light and dark themes and adjustable text size
• Designed for phones and tablets

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no sign-up, no ads, no internet required. Your practice history stays on your device and is never uploaded.

CHECK THE SOURCE
Links to the Government of Canada source material on canada.ca appear throughout the app, so you can always check the official wording yourself.

True North Prep cannot tell you whether you will pass the citizenship test, and scores in this app are not a prediction of your official result. Always confirm details on canada.ca.
