Please check out the FAQ below:

Q: What Files Can I Encrypt With This App?
A: You can encrypt any file type you want. That includes Pictures, Videos, Text, APKs, documents, PDFs etc. As long as it's in your device, it can be encrypted.

Q: How Do I Encrypt?
A: ZenCrypt supports encrypting using an alphanumerical password, or using a fingerprint, if your device supports it.

Q: How Robust Is ZenCrypt?
A: Although ZenCrypt is a very powerful tool and the encrypted files are very well protected against attacks, I can not guarantee the robustness of this app. What I can guarantee, is that I put a lot of effort to provide a more secure option for storing your files.

Q: Can Other Devices Decrypt?
A: As long as they have ZenCrypt installed, and the same password is used (either plain or in fingerprint configuration), absolutely.

Q: Can I Share The Encrypted Files?
A: Yes. You can share them just like any other file, without worrying for your personal data.

Q: Can I Encrypt From External Storage?
A: Yes you can. ZenCrypt supports both internal and external storage, such as micro sd cards, usb, hard drives. You can also encrypt from cloud providers such as Google Drive.

Q: Is My Password That I Used For Encryption Stored?
A: No, and it never will be. ZenCrypt will never have an Internet permission, so your password and files will never be sent anywhere.

Very frustrating, when it's not working correctly and glitchy. Lost some critical information thats going to be very time consuming for me to redo and replace again. Import / Export folders having issues all night long. Opening to view, needs work. Lose that .Zen exstention... I think it's confusing it. I can't get the file open by Google photo, file manager or .PDF to see what I encrypted. It's a good program, but has bugz.

This app is a disappointment. The fingerprint auth doesn't work properly. I set a password, but encryption fails every time I try to use fingerprint. Also, and more troubling, is the fact that you can't encrypt folders, or specify which directory you want specific encrypted files to go. So, after you encrypt your files, you have to go and manually move them to whichever directory you want them to be. This is not a usable product. Not worth the two bucks.

Please email me the details of the issue you are facing with fingerprint encryption, because there seems to be no problem on my end. As the files location, you can use the custom directory option and store the files in a custom directory of your choosing, so you don't have to move them every time.

I like the app and the focus on security, it would be nice to have something similar to solid explorers encryption, where all the files names are encrypted and not able to be viewed without entering the password. At the moment anyone can view file names they just aren't able to access them. Also adding the ability to encrypt entire folders instead of just files would be cool.

Thanks for the suggestions. With the new update, you can randomize encrypted file names as well.

What’s new

Changed the way the automatic deletion of unencrypted files works. Now, it will delete all unencrypted files each time the app loses focus, instead of only when the app is closed.
Added pull down to refresh functionality in the file list.
Fixed an issue where ZenCrypt's navigation bar would overlap with the device's navigation bar on newer Android versions.
Removed some deprecated theme attributes.
Removed wrongly set and unused permissions by third-party libraries.
