Hindu law is a set of rules, customs and codes of conduct that govern the beliefs and way of life of Hindus. It is difficult to precisely determine the period of origin of Hindu law. It is believed that this law is not created by anyone and like other laws this law was not enacted or promulgated in one day. This law probably evolved through custom and evolution before it was enacted. Most of these provisions of the Hindu society that have been passed for ages have not been codified, moreover, Hindu law largely depends on custom and since the custom of each place is different, it is difficult to codify it easily. As a result, various types of complications are created in the administration of land-acquisition and property proceedings. In decision-making, the court in most cases takes the judgment of a previous court as an ideal. Recently there have been many changes in these areas in India, but there has been no significant change in Hindu law since independence in Bangladesh.
