About this app

Tiho Docs is an editor for Word .docx documents. It opens a file from your phone — from the file manager, from an email attachment, from anywhere — lets you work on it and writes it back. There is no account to create, nothing to sync and no server involved.

THE FILE IS THE DOCUMENT

Open a document, save it without touching anything, and you get back exactly the bytes you started with. That is not a figure of speech: it is checked against a corpus of more than 1600 real documents on every change to the app.

IT TELLS YOU WHAT IT DOES NOT UNDERSTAND

A .docx file can hold more than any editor implements: an unusual field, a chart from another program, a form control. Tiho Docs keeps all of it untouched and writes it back exactly as it came — and shows you on screen which parts those are. Nothing disappears silently, and nothing is presented as supported when it is not.

LINES BREAK WHERE WORD BREAKS THEM

A document written on Windows asks for fonts Android does not have. Most editors substitute something similar and the text quietly shifts: lines wrap in different places, pages end in different places, and a three-page contract becomes four. Tiho Docs ships metrically compatible faces — a different drawing, the same widths — so the page count holds.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE

Your documents do not. The app makes no network requests except a counter of app launches, so we know the app is being used. It never sees a document, a file name or a path, and it can be switched off in settings.

First release. Opens Word .docx documents, shows them the way Word does, and writes them back without loss: everything the app does not understand returns to the file byte for byte.
