About this app

Zipedoo is a social network where friends help friends, starting with rides.

See which of your friends are free to drive nearby, ask one of them for a lift, and chat in the app until you're picked up. Drivers are your friends, not employees or contractors, and they choose whether to say yes.

CHIP IN ONLY IF YOU WANT
Riders can choose to chip in toward the driver's car costs (gas, parking, tolls). It's optional and it is not a fare. You pay each other directly in your own payment app, such as Cash App, Venmo or PayPal, or in cash. Zipedoo never receives or holds that money, and riders never add a card.

FREE DURING THE BETA
Zipedoo is in beta. During the beta, everything is free: no fees are charged to riders or drivers. After the beta, drivers may pay Zipedoo a small flat lead fee (advertising fee) when they accept a request. Riders never pay Zipedoo.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
- See friends who are free to drive on a map
- Ask for a pickup and set where you're going
- Chat with your friend inside the app; phone numbers stay private
- Follow your friend's car as they come to pick you up
- Rate each other after the ride
- Switch between riding and driving any time

Drivers share their live location only while they're available or on an accepted ride, so the friend they're picking up can see them coming. Location is never sold.

Rides are just the beginning: more ways for friends to help friends are on the way.

Zipedoo doesn't provide transportation. It introduces friends to each other.
