About this app

Fit a straight stair into the opening you have before you cut timber.

StairDraft starts with floor-to-floor rise and whichever horizontal measurements you know. It draws a live side section, then keeps the opening, tread thickness, upper attachment, and selected planning limits visible as you work.

Use StairDraft to:

• compare feasible integer riser counts
• drag the available run and see each tread update
• review rise, tread, pitch, first cut, stringer length, and estimated throat
• pin two layouts and scrub between their shapes
• inspect a numbered stringer marking sequence
• export a local PDF field brief
• work offline in imperial or metric units

Warnings show which geometric fact crossed one of your selected planning limits. StairDraft does not certify structural design or local code compliance. Verify finished surfaces, stock, bearing, measurements, and local requirements before construction. Test-fit one master stringer before tracing the set.

StairDraft is paid upfront. It has no account, ads, analytics, tracking, subscription, or network service.
Fit straight stairs, compare riser layouts, and mark one master stringer.
