WHAT IS TANNI?
Tanni is a traditional 6-player trick-taking card game played in two teams of three. Using a special 24-card deck with unique card rankings, players bid for the right to set the trump suit and compete to win tricks worth points.
HOW TO PLAY
Deal: Each player receives 4 cards from a deck containing 6, 5, J, 9, A, and 10 in each suit.
Bid: Players bid the minimum points they believe their team can win, from 45 up to 72. The winning bidder secretly selects the trump suit.
Play: Four tricks are played per round. Follow the lead suit if possible, or reveal trump when you cannot. The highest card wins each trick.
Score: Teams earn flag points when they fail to meet their bid. First team to 5 flags loses the game.
