Towerilo is a cell tower map that shows its work. Every site is a record from a named public source, with its age, position precision and limits shown.
Towerilo does not read your signal, run a speed test or boost anything, and it never invents a reading. Where it finds no record, it says so instead of claiming there is no service.
Explore the map
• Pan a real map of sourced sites, tap Locate me to centre on where you are with range rings, or search any place or address. Search and the map work without location permission.
• Open a record for its type, owner or operator and the basis, height, technologies and status when the source states them, position precision, freshness, licence and a link to the source. Report a record that looks wrong. Records from different sources stay separate.
• Filter by site type, source, owner or operator, minimum height, technology and status. The nearby list shows distance and bearing.
• Point me there: a compass shows the bearing to a site from where your phone points.
• Where a regulator publishes open coverage maps (Australia and France today), see what operators reported, labelled as modeled, outdoor and not measured, with source and date.
Save places with their evidence
• Save a location with a name, a note and a snapshot of the sourced records around it.
• Refresh later to see what was added, removed or changed; a removal can be data churn.
• Compare two or three places side by side: counts by distance and site type, nearest site per owner, data freshness. It never ranks a place as having better signal.
• Saved places stay on your phone and open offline; recently viewed areas can too, labelled when they may be out of date.
Ask the Guide
Guide is an AI assistant that answers only from the sourced records in the app. Each answer lists the numbered records behind it, shows its as-of date and has a Report control. Live signal and speed questions get a plain refusal. Guide needs a connection.
• Ask about this area by typing or speaking.
• Explain any record, including what it does not show.
• Check an address, pin or route: nearest sites per owner with distance and bearing, counts by distance band, data gaps, visit checklist.
• Compare places and get a digest of changes to a saved place.
• Field tools: match a photo of a structure to nearby records, plan bearings to try when aiming a home antenna, and see why your phone and the map may disagree.
• Draft a message to your carrier or regulator from your own facts, then edit it.
Guide asks before your location, a photo or your voice goes to Towerilo's servers and the AI service that writes the answer. Withdraw any choice in Settings.
Sources you can check
Records come from the FCC Antenna Structure Registration (United States), ANFR (France), BAKOM (Switzerland), Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and OpenStreetMap contributors. Settings lists licences and dates. Towerilo is not affiliated with or endorsed by them or any carrier. A record is a registry or map entry, not proof that equipment is working. Public records are incomplete and sometimes out of date; the US registry lists tall structures and their owners, not carriers.
Your choices
Usage statistics and crash reports stay off until you opt in. No ads, no account. Delete your data in Settings any time.
Subscription
Towerilo needs an auto-renewing subscription, Yearly (with a 1-week trial where eligible) or Monthly. Terms and the amount charged are shown in the app before you confirm, and payment is charged to your Google Play account. It renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play under Subscriptions; cancelling stops future renewals. Restore purchases is on the paywall and in Settings. Onboarding, restore, support, legal pages and data deletion work without a subscription.
