Turn a classic cipher into a hands-on lesson. Vigenère Cipher Lab shows how a keyword changes each letter as you encrypt or decrypt a message.

Enter a message and keyword, then choose how to explore the wheel.

Automatic mode turns the inner wheel and reveals the result one letter at a time. Adjust the speed to watch the alignment at your own pace.

Manual mode lets you turn the wheel yourself, align each keyword letter, and reveal the next character.

Color highlights connect the current message letter, keyword letter, and output. The message and keyword previews follow your place, even with long text. The result builds beneath the wheel, and you can open it on its own page or copy it to your clipboard.

The app preserves spaces, punctuation, numbers, and letter case. Only A-Z letters advance the keyword. Your selected wheel speed is saved on your device; messages and keywords are not saved by the app. No account is needed.

Vigenère Cipher Lab is made for learning, entertainment, and puzzles. Vigenère is a historical cipher and does not protect private information.
