This app works! But lightning shots take patience. I got about 3 good shots in an hour, and had lots of duds to delete. Don't hold your phone while it's running: at minimum, prop it up against something and let it run. I used a tripod close to a window with no screen. Turn off lights in the room to reduce reflections. I found that bracketing 8 shots at once worked best. Good luck!

This genuinely made my day. Your tripod, dark room, and bracketing tips are spot on—and three keeper shots in an hour is a proper storm-chasing win. Thanks for sharing the full setup; it will help other people catch their first lightning.

Seems to be a good app at catching that lightning shot. It saves several images when the lightning is detected. the images appear to be only 640 x480 resolution and I don't see any way to change that. Due to the low resolution of images I'll probably stick to recording 8k and pulling frames manually.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We use a different technology to be able to capture too many frames in milliseconds so that is why it is too hard for us to be able to deliver the "actual" camera ratio/resolution. We plan to provide another capturing method but that would consume much more CPU/RAM than our current technology. Thanks!

was 5 stars, now 0. opened app (cuz there was a cool lighting storm in my area). there was a bunch of things/options moved around. NOTHING is like it was B4! u can't even select how far back in secs u want it 2 go once u hit the pic button. I tried SEVERAL x's 2 take even just 1 pic...& what did I get ...NOthing! so I thought well I'll just pay for it, surely it'll be better. nope. now, lightning storm is over & no pics & I'm out the gas $ it took 2 drive 30 mins away 4 better pics. RIP OFF!

Sorry for the wasted drive and the empty gallery. Losing the seconds-back control after capture, then getting no photos even after paying, shouldn't happen. Join our Discord from Settings and I'll do my best to make your experience better.
