The app has good features, but having to manually reconnect the Bluetooth connection to ensure the scooter is using the correct settings is a bit annoying. Still, the app is fully functional, so I'll give it a 4/5

Had same connection issue at first but was fixed easily. After installing app, tap and hold app icon. You should be able to access app permissions from there. Allow access to all and it should work fine. You can set output as km/h or Mp/h and also Lock the scooter! Also gives you percentage of battery charge for more accuracy!

Here is how I fixed the issue with the app not connecting to the scooter. After installing the app go setting on your phone, go to manage app permissions, enable location, and all the ones related to bluetooth. Then I was able to connect without an issue and it works perfectly.
