A new tool for obtaining information in the framework of prevention against the ever-increasing number of ticks and possible diseases that these parasites transmit is provided by a new mobile application called Klíšťapka. It provides information on the occurrence of ticks in forest stands according to the data of the Institute for Economic Management of Forests Brandýs nad Labem in the Czech Republic and the related risks of Lyme borreliosis infection. The application aptly named Klíšťapka was developed by scientists from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood and Operational Economics of CZU in cooperation with Forests of the Czech Republic, the State Institute of Health, the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Palacký University in Olomouc, the Czech Forestry Society and the Research Institute of Forest Management and Hunting.
