You should specify whether the app measures dBA (ie A-weighted soun pressure level) or only dB (unweighted ie linear spl). The evaluation of noise in terms of human responses is internationally done in dBA. The accuracy of all these kind of apps is quite limited due to the considerable limitations of cellular microphones. They're ok for normal audio but not really suitable for serious measurements. However, the app is useful for gaining an approximate indication of the reigning noise level.
First impressions are that it's a great app if you need to know sound levels. I'm using it on a Pixel Phone.
Fantastic! They just don't make Apps any easier these days. Very well done.
Can't prove its calibration, but an excellent tool that also gives the average noise level and it's interpretation. Thank you!
