The Law Without Borders Foundation (DSF) offers free support to help you assert your rights with public institutions in Costa Rica.
If the Costa Rican Social Security System (CCSS) has you on a waiting list, denied you medication or an appointment, or if the Ministry of Public Education (MEP) hasn't responded to your request, DSF helps you organize your case and track its progress from your phone.
What can you do in the app?
• Open your case and tell us what you need.
• Chat in real time with your assigned DSF team member. Share photos, documents, audio, and your location when necessary.
• Track the progress of your case step by step, with notifications whenever there are updates.
• Complete your forms easily, without paperwork.
• Talk to María, the voice assistant, who guides you through the registration process.
How does it work?
1. Register with your national ID number and create a PIN.
2. Tell us about your situation (health with the CCSS or education with the MEP).
3. The DSF team reviews your case and supports you at every stage.

DSF is designed for anyone to use: simple, clear, and in Costa Rican Spanish. Your information is encrypted and treated confidentially, in accordance with Law No. 8968 on data protection.

Rehicimos las notificaciones:
• El mensaje llega con el nombre y la foto de quien te escribe.
• Contestá desde el mismo aviso, sin abrir la app.
• Botones para seguir un cuestionario, ver tu caso o confirmar que ya firmaste.
• Lo que ya resolviste desaparece solo de la bandeja.
• Tocar un aviso te lleva al lugar correcto, con la app cerrada.
• A las 7 p. m. te recordamos lo pendiente, una sola vez.
Los cuestionarios se guardan solos: si te salís, volvés donde quedaste.
