VERIT is a mobile application designed to help consumers verify the authenticity of liquor bottles sold at licensed retail outlets operating under BCL Depots of the Governments of Telangana.
Consumers can download and install the VERIT application on their smartphones and scan the 2D hologram affixed to liquor bottles purchased from authorised retail outlets. This enables instant verification of the genuineness of the liquor bottle.
The scanned 2D hologram data is securely transmitted to the HPFS server through two communication channels: SMS Gateway and GPRS. Based on the server response, the application processes and displays the verification result, confirming whether the liquor bottle is genuine.
VERIT helps improve consumer safety, prevents counterfeit liquor sales, and supports transparency in liquor retail operations.
