About this app
The application is intended for those who want to experience Advent near the word of God. The texts of contemporary authors develop God's word inspiring perspectives for reflection. The application displays texts for the current day and previous days. After 5 pm, the texts for meditation for the following day will be made available.
It presents three bookmarks each day:
The Scriptures tab offers all the full Bible readings that are read during the liturgy on this day.
The texts in the Advent Guide tab contain several verses from God's word; ideas of various authors: Pope Francis, Pope Benedict XVI, Joseph Augustyn, Vojtech Cikrle, Zbigniew Czendlik, Timothy Dolan, Anselm Grün, Guy Gilbert, Fabrice Hadjadj, Ladislav Heryan, Charles Journet, Joseph Langford, Thomas Leoncini, James Mallon, Josef Maureder , Jean Mercier, Aleš Opatrný, Angelika Pintířová, Josef Prokeš, Helmut Schlegel, Matka Tereza, Marek Orko Vácha, Markéta Zahradníková, Michal Zamkovský; The outline of meditation offers one of the ways we can go in meditation.
The brand new Prayer tab complements the previous texts with prayers from various authors. You will not find the texts of the prayers in the printed form of the Advent Guide, they are only in the application. The citations are used with the kind permission of the publishing house Argo, Cesta, Dobrovský s.r.o., Karmelitánské nakladatelství (KNA), Kartuziánské nakladatelství, Krystal OP, Pavel Nebojsa - Doron, Nové město, Paulínky, Portál, Vyšehrad.
