Silent Line is a social sign language interpreting and speech-to-text transcription service online. It is intended for people with hearing or combined disabilities and enables them to communicate with hearing people without barriers. The user has the option to choose a suitable service according to their communication preferences and, accordingly, connect with either a sign language interpreter or a spoken language transcriber. If he prefers to communicate in sign language, he chooses online interpretation and connects with the interpreter via video call. If he prefers to communicate in the Czech language, he chooses the transcription service and connects with the transcriber through a text window. The interpreter/transcriber then simultaneously mediates telephone or personal communication with the hearing person.
In addition to interpreting or transcription, it is also possible to use the text editing service and edit the text so that it is grammatically correct. You can also use the translation of text into sign language and vice versa.
All communication with interpreters and transcribers is online and in real time. The interpretation service is open 24/7, the transcription service 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Users can reserve the exact time of interpretation or transcription in advance. In the case of urgent use of the service, there is a possibility to connect in standby mode, i.e. immediately.
