The classic pencil-and-paper game of dots and boxes, drawn like a technical sheet. Players take turns drawing one stroke between neighboring dots. Close the fourth side of a cell and it is yours, stamped with a number, and you draw again. When the grid is full, the player with more boxes finishes first.
First line
• Four grids to choose from: 3×3, 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6 boxes, with dots marked by letters and numbers along the edges.
• Choose who draws the first line, you or your rival, before each match.
• Orange ticks warn when a stroke would give away a third side, and you can turn these warnings off.
Second line
• Easy takes what it can and draws almost at random.
• Medium always claims open boxes, never hands over a third party and gives away the shortest chain when it must.
• Hard plays the long-chain rule, leaves a double-cross when control pays and plays perfectly in the last stretch of a match.
• Pass and play lets two people share one device as orange and cobalt.
Closing the box
• Puzzles: 21 endgames on 3×3 and 4×4 grids with no safe line left. Each asks you to take an exact number of boxes against perfect defense, and they open as you solve them.
• Achievements: 15 stamps, from First Sheet to Endgame Student.
• Quiz: 10 questions per round from 26 real facts on paper games and recreational mathematics, each answer marked right or wrong with a short note.
Final count
• Records keep matches, finishes in first place, boxes claimed, the longest turn, the widest margin, solved puzzles, results per level and a log of the last 25 matches.
• A pale grid of dots drifts and pulses in the animated background while lines draw themselves now and then. You can switch it off in Settings, next to haptics, third-side warnings and a progress reset.
• The game plays fully offline, needs no account and has no sound.
