About this app

TapAlive is your silent safety net. One press of a button says: I'm okay. If you don't press it, your trusted contacts are automatically notified – with your last known location.

For anyone who lives alone, travels a lot, jogs, hikes, or comes home alone in the evening.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Set your check-in interval
Choose your interval, for example, every 24 hours.

2. Tap when everything's OK
One button resets the timer. Two seconds a day is all it takes.

3. Automatic alarm
If you don't check in, TapAlive informs your emergency contacts via SMS – including a location link.

SO NOTHING GETS DOWN THE TRACK

• Reminder 60 minutes and again 5 minutes before it expires

• Reminders run locally on the device, even without a connection

• A single check-in immediately stops any active alarm

IN AN EMERGENCY

• Manual SOS: Press and hold the button or shake the phone

• 5-second countdown with color gradient and vibration – false alarms can be canceled

• Emergency call speed dial 110 and 112 directly from the app

• Beacon mode: Flashlight and display send a visible SOS

• Staged escalation: Initial alarm, followed by a more prominent second message after 6 hours

BUDDY SYSTEM

A trusted person receives subtle alerts – not just in emergencies:

• Battery warning when your battery drops below 10%

• "Arrived safely" notification after you've arrived home
• The connection is confirmed via SMS code on both sides

PREMIUM

• Community SOS: Send a distress call to TapAlive users within a 2 km radius

• Live location every 30 seconds during an active SOS

• Audio recording up to 60 seconds

• Unlimited emergency contacts

• Custom message templates

PLANS

• Free – €0.00: 1 emergency contact, 24-hour interval

• Plus – €0.99 per month: 5 contacts, custom intervals, SMS and WhatsApp, contact priorities

• Premium – €2.99 per month: Unlimited contacts, live location, audio recording, community SOS, custom templates

All prices include VAT. Billing is handled through Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in the Play Store settings at least 24 hours before expiration.

DATA PROTECTION

• Usable without an account – no registration, no email address
• Anonymous device ID instead of a user profile

• Location data only used for SOS or check-in; no background tracking when the app is closed

• Encrypted transmission, stored in an EU region

• Audio and alarm logs are deleted after 30 days

• Delete at any time in the app or at https://tapalive.app/account-loeschen

IMPORTANT NOTICE

TapAlive is an additional tool and does not replace official emergency services. In acute emergencies, always call 110 (police) or 112 (ambulance) directly. The app notifies your private contacts, not the emergency services.

Timely or successful message delivery cannot be guaranteed – it depends on the mobile network, battery level, and third-party services. TapAlive is not a medical device and does not constitute medical advice.
