About this app
No phone number required. You register with a nickname and receive a UIN – your phone number remains your own and is nobody else's business. Contact is established via invitation link, QR code, or your UIN, and only those you've approved can message you.
AhOh is instant messaging with a UIN – a nostalgic core, modern features.
What you can expect:
• UIN & Presence – nickname, authorize friends, live status (online to do not disturb)
• Chat – read receipts, replies, search; 1:1 end-to-end communication for text, images, files, and voice
• Device management for encryption – log out or remove devices
• Groups – collaborative writing, sharing images and files, managing members
• Audio & Video – make calls and continue writing simultaneously
• Watch Together – synchronized YouTube or Twitch (Live/VOD), Sidechat at your location
• Games for two – chess, checkers, Nine Men's Morris, poker, blackjack, Connect Four, and more
• Status updates, GIFs, voice messages, push notifications, and invitation links
No ads, no tracking, no analytics cookies. Developed in Germany.
Platforms: Web, Windows, and Android (this app). A native iOS app is not yet available.

What’s new
Wer noch keine Kontakte hat, sieht jetzt direkt in der Kontaktliste, wie er welche bekommt: Einladung teilen oder QR-Code zeigen. Wer den Link öffnet, ist sofort dein Kontakt. Sobald der erste Kontakt da ist, verschwindet der Hinweis wieder.
