The DSV is the umbrella organization of almost 1,300 member associations with over 180,000 sailors, surfers and kite surfers, the 16 national sailing associations and the class associations. As a member of the World Sailing Association and the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the DSV represents the national interest group and the top sports association for all sailors in Germany.
