About this app

The Advanced Password Generator creates passwords using different configurable algorithms. Also supports generating type 4 (pseudo-random) UUIDs.

Supported password algorithms are
- Random password,
- Pronounceable password using the algorithm specified in FIPS-181,
- Memorable password using random words from an English dictionary (21400 words with an individual length of 3 to 8 letters).

The generated password can be copied and used in other applications by simply clicking the buttons.

Ratings and reviews

I'm a total logophile, and I love this app. I use it all the time. You can choose which type of password you want, but I always choose "Memorable" because it generates a delightful variety of words. They relate to each other in a way that's usually beautiful, suitably awkward, or funny. The pronunciation of them together often rolls off the tongue or is purposefully clunky and interesting. If you love words, you'll love this app.

Love this app ! No ads but I'd be happy to pay a small fee for it. Love how you can have different settings to generate passwords or passphrases and the option to put numbers or special characters in. All of varying lengths too. My only gripe is that the numbers and special characters are usually at the end of the word or if they are inbetween the words they tend to be the same character, I'd like a bit more variety

Seems to do what its supposed. But would be nice to have dict options for word based generation, ether in app or select from some file.

- Memorable passwords: Allow to set the included number of digits (0 to 10).
- Memorable passwords: Allow to include special characters (0 to 10).
- Memorable passwords: Set maximal number of words for to 12, set minimal number of words to 2.
