About this app

Do you know this situation: somebody greets you with your name but you just can't remember the name of the person to greet back. With this app you can get rid of these uncomfortable situations!

* no backend - your data belongs to you only!

You can use this app to associate a person and the corresponding name by using the cardbox principle:
1. First you see the picture of the person
2. Try to remember the name of the person
3. Touch the image to see the correct name

The person will be shown more often during the next training session if you didn't know the correct answer. The app will adjust to your learning progress and helps you to learn names in the most efficient manner, based on scientific studies.

Beside names of people you can use this app to learn names of things, e.g. breed names of dogs, tree species, etc.

Additionally you can get notified to do a quick training session - this will help you to remember names, because the more often you do a quick learning session, the better you remember!

Overall I like this app except for one major flaw. I'd like the ability to test by category. I have a set of people from different companies and I would like to test based on company. As it stands now even though categories are implemented you can't seem to test on a per category basis. This needs to be implemented.

I had high hopes for this one, but there are things it needs to make this truly work. First of all, don't force a picture. I don't have these people's pictures. What am I supposed to do? Meet someone and say "Hey hold on let me take a picture of you so that I can put all your info on this app cause I'm going to forget your name." That's not happening. You have the category which is a great start. Now add a notes section where I can put a description of the person without the need for a picture. Then add an additional search function where I can search for words that I put in my description. For example, I want to be able to search "black hair" and all the contacts with the words black hair in the description pop up. That would make this a great app. Hell, it would be a 3 star app just by removing the forced picture. A 4 star app if you added one more line that let's me put my own description. Add that final search function and it's great. With all that said, still better than other options.

What’s new

Everything brought up to date and you can delete all cards now at once in settings menu. Additionally images are shown always completely instead of being cropped.
