HzBench is an ear training lab and precision tone generator for anyone who wants to understand sound by hearing it, comparing it, and shaping it directly.

Instead of only showing frequencies as numbers, HzBench turns them into practical listening exercises. Train your ear with guided practice modes for pitch, frequency order, waveform recognition, target matching, memory, and note placement. Hear a tone, compare two tones, sort frequencies from low to high, match a reference with your slider, recognize sine, square, triangle, and sawtooth waves, or build short memory rounds from hidden tone cards.

The generator side gives you direct control when you need a reliable signal instead of an exercise. HzBench is designed for musicians, singers, producers, mixing engineers, sound designers, teachers, students, repair technicians, audio hobbyists, and curious listeners. You do not need to be an expert to start: beginner exercises use clear differences, while harder modes move toward finer listening and more exact frequency judgments.
