Boilers older than 15 years will be gradually equipped with the new Efficiency Label for heating systems since 1 January 2016. In this way, consumers are informed about the efficiency status of their heating appliance, energy advice and possible subsidies. Heating installers, chimney sweeps and certain energy consultants have been entitled to install the label since 2016. Since 2017, the district chimney sweeps are also required by law to affix an efficiency label to the remaining boilers.
