About this app

Pelvintense is the first pelvic floor training designed specifically for men by urologists, sports physicians and physiotherapists to treat and prevent urinary incontinence (e.g., before / after prostate surgery or radiation). Pelvintense can also be effectively used for erectile dysfunction, chronic pelvic pain syndrome (chronic prostatitis) and back pain, as well as to improve core stability and enhance endurance sports performance (e.g., running, cycling, rowing).

WHAT IS PELVINTENSE?
Numerous videos guide you through the training and guide you through the exercises. Our experts (Prof. Dr. med. Sabine Brookman-May, Specialist in Urology, Sports Medicine, Tumor Therapy, Prof. Dr. Matthias May, Specialist in Urology, Tumor Therapy, Christian Müller, Physiotherapist Praxis Eder Müller Kerler, German Football Association eV) have developed Pelvintense especially for men - a program that can be easily integrated into everyday life. It also provides information on the anatomy of the pelvic floor and diseases in which pelvic floor training can be of therapeutic or preventive benefit. For the best possible effect, the program should be performed once a day for at least 3-6 months. Duration of the course, time and place of the training you decide yourself - Pelvintense can be performed anytime, anywhere.

Pelvintense has been successfully tested by patients and will be reviewed in further studies. A certification as a health app is sought. At present there is no health insurance coverage for the use of the training. However, you will receive a confirmation within the app about the completed training as soon as you have completed all 5 modules. This confirmation can be used to individually ask the health insurance company whether a reimbursement is possible. More information can be found in the FAQ of the app.

YOUR ADVANTAGES WITH PELVINTENSE

▶ You benefit from a training program specially designed for men to train the pelvic floor easily and effectively. Videos, instructions and tutorials explain the structure and function of the pelvic floor as well as the individual exercises. These can be easily and effectively integrated into your everyday life.

▶ 5 training modules take you step by step. The modules are each unlocked after a set number of training runs (depending on the module after at least 15 training sessions within 2 or 3 weeks) and guide you through exercises of varying intensity and complexity. You decide yourself, at which speed, at which time and at which place you complete the exercises.

▶ After completion of all modules, you will receive confirmation of the successful completion of the Pelvintense training program.

▶ For patients with urinary incontinence, a validated questionnaire is integrated. Use this to document your treatment progress. Talk to your doctor or contact our service team for an explanation of the results.
