About this app

EAS 3: Electronic combustion control goes digital

The new EAS 3 can now also be operated with an integrated WLAN via an app.
The new EAS 3 is available in two versions. Wireless access via WLAN is incorporated in both variants. In the familiar design with a glass plate and user interface, the control can be operated using an app in addition to the familiar handling. In the reduced form with an invisible, digital control unit and without a display, only access via WLAN and the app is provided. The app works the same way on the smartphone as it does on the tablet, is free of charge and is intended for access in the reception area of the local home network. Of course, when installing the EAS 3 without a display, make sure that the installation location is in the reception area of the corresponding WLAN router. So that both operation and parameterization are guaranteed.

Start at the push of a button

The initial start-up, i.e. the configuration of the heating element and additional functions, is easily controlled with the EAS 3 without a display via the app. For this purpose, a button is installed on the control board that starts the connection to the existing Internet access. The feedback is given via an LED status display. It works like this in detail: The EAS 3 is set up as an access point at the factory. The app connects to the controller for the first time, identifies the local WLAN and forwards the access data to the EAS 3. With this information, the EAS 3 automatically switches to the local WLAN, the WLAN symbol is shown in the display variant. Configuration and operation are now possible via the app.

Protected tradesmen's access for specialist stove builders

The buttons and setting options known from the EAS display version are also available on the app. The burn-up counter, the operating hours, operating instructions or error displays and the current burn-up as a temperature curve can be seen at a glance, which makes the app particularly clear.
As usual, there is protected access for skilled tradespeople. The heating element is set here and the known parameter levels are made accessible.

Optimized heating behavior

BRUNNER controls like the EAS 3 not only control the combustion air supply, which is crucial for optimal combustion. They also recognize typical heating errors such as too little, damp or unsuitable firewood and provide the user with appropriate operating instructions. What is new is the indication of the perfect time to add fuel. If the correct choice is made, the wood ignites by itself over the existing embers. For each heating insert, parameters are stored that define the beginning and the end of the perfect reloading period. A small flag above the burn-off curve marks the point in time when the fuel can be refilled. The second flag is displayed when reloading requires heating up again.

Note:

Access to the EAS 3 control via app is only possible in the local reception area of the house network.
Remote access via the Internet is not provided for the EAS 3!
