BundesMessenger, in general, is a secure messaging solution for public administration. Developed by BWI for government agencies in Germany, its goal is to create a modern and secure open-source collaboration platform for Germany that can be adapted to the needs and requirements of the German administration.
With BundesMessenger, you can communicate professionally just as you would with other messengers for personal use. The messenger uses the open-source Matrix protocol and was designed for maximum security.
Exchange messages in one-on-one chats or groups and send text messages, documents, or media files—voice messages and surveys are also possible. All communication is automatically and end-to-end encrypted.
