This one is a reliable application that can load 100k models fine. Decimation is advised. Finds good planes to stick and holds position fairly well. Models are not floaty, they pinned just fine. FBX is working. The downside is shading. No adjustments, minimal interaction with light intensity, no normal maps or bump map. I have the payed version for quite sometime and it is remaining a staple visualization tool, despite being very limited in shading.

Updates. Have been in touch with the developers and much dialogue. You were limited by your base model orientation and could not change it on site. Sent them some models...they have listened and put in a lot of work to fix these things. The package is now very usable. Double tap the model and a list of options now appear. So if or original model was upside down you can now fix it on site...and send the model to the customer as well. I use this in a serious manner to demo items onsite

Hello Peter, thank you for your review. We are about to release a new version of i4 Augmented Review shortly. This will include some additional tools for rotation and translation. The model being buried in the ground sounds like a bug. Please provide us with an example so we can reproduce this issue. Kind regards, i4 Support

Requires pro version to test out any obj files, and doesn't state how much the pro version costs

Thank you for your review. There is a file size limitation (9MB for OBJ and 4MB for FBX) when using the free version. PRO can be purchased at the price of 4,99 €.
