About this app
At ChatClass you can learn English safely and without fear by talking to your digital chat partner Ada. ChatClass contains many tasks for learning levels B1, B2 and C1 as well as Cornelsen's English textbooks (grades 5-13). This includes speaking tasks where you can practice speaking freely and correct pronunciation. There are also listening tasks, reading tasks and grammar tasks as well as varied vocabulary quizzes, all of which you can complete independently or as part of homework.
HOW IT WORKS - School and class license
1. Register: You will receive an individual access code from your teacher to log in to the app. But you can also try it out without a code.
2. Start: Your current tasks and notifications are displayed here.
3. Practice: Here you can practice independently by selecting the current unit of your English class and working on its tasks.
4. Assignments: If your teacher has assigned you a homework assignment, it will appear here.
5. Profile: Here you can view your learning status and switch to ninja mode.
HOW IT WORKS - Individual license for the workbook
1. Register: Your workbook contains a license code. Download the Cornelsen learning app and redeem the code.
2. Practice: Here you can practice independently by selecting the current unit and working on its tasks.
3. Profile: Here you can view your learning status and specifically improve your skills.

FOR TEACHERS - School and classroom license
- Targeted: The separate web app for teachers gives you an overview of your students' activities and learning progress. It helps you assign tasks to your students without much effort and give them individual feedback.
- Effective: ChatClass increases the speaking frequency and duration of all students, no one is left out. During the speaking tasks, the students discuss topics from the textbook. The chatbot Ada supports you with appropriate phrases and vocabulary. Using the app’s recording function, students record and submit their contributions.
- Effective: Support your students at their individual level and assign them the appropriate tasks individually or in groups.
- Future-oriented: The app uses the everyday communication behavior of learners and motivates them to speak English more often and without fear.
