Experience the Luther Bible 2017, the Basic Bible, the Good News Bible as well as many other Bible translations and academic Bible editions in one modern app. And the best thing about it is: the offer is completely free for you!

There are a number of options that you can quickly turn to the Bible. Scroll through the text and keep track of references. Search the Bible. Take notes on individual verses and mark verses that are important to you in different colors. You can adapt the display of the Bible text to your own needs by selecting the font and size.

Do you want to read the Bible, but can't find the right time or impetus to get started? We help you! Regular Bible reading works best if you have a manageable section of text for each day. You can set up your own personal Bible reading plan in the app. If you wish, the app will send you a reminder every morning and let you open the Bible at the appropriate place. So stay tuned and don't miss anything. Choose a Bible reading plan and try it for yourself!

Notes on use:
- All Bible editions can be used online without registration. The download must be initiated manually so that a translation can be used offline. You can decide this individually for each translation. Registration is required for offline use.
- Notes and markings can be synchronized between different devices and the website www.die-bibel.de. To do this, they are saved in the user profile that is created during registration.
- For daily Bible reading, you can use a reading plan of your choice with your preferred translation. The progress in the reading plan is also saved in the user profile.

Ratings and reviews

I am very grateful for the app and the Bibles it provides. However, I wish I could reduce the line height. It is way too large. Also the app frequently 'hangs' on the screen with the logo for a very long time, even after terminating and restarting.

It is fantastic! I am learning German and being able to read something that is important to me is fantastic, especially without tons of ads.

If you're interested in textual criticism as a layman, or if you're studying biblical theology professionally, this is a wonderful tool and you should definitely download this. As a forewarning, the app is in German, so brush up on your Deutsch if you haven't already done so. They offer various versions of the Bible, to include the Lutherbibel, KJV, NIV, ESV, Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia, Septuaginta, Biblia Sacra Vulgata, and Novum Testamentum Graece (NA28 & UBS5).
