The app from überaus.de allows registered members to conveniently use extremely functions on smartphones and tablets with an Android operating system. You can exchange files with colleagues on the go at any time via your mobile device and call up the latest posts on the pinboard. You can communicate with your contacts, also with learners on the platform, via Quickmessages.
The modules in detail:
You can use the Contacts function to send quick messages and photos and documents stored in your file storage and on your mobile device to other members. If push notifications are activated for the login, the user receives a notification of new messages even if the app is not open.
- File storage
The file storage module enables mobile access to all folders and files that are extremely available to the user in file storage. You can navigate through the folder structure of your files, open certain files (and edit them), copy them to another folder, rename or delete them. Of course, files can also be uploaded to the folders.
If you select the "Browser" function, you will go directly to your private area on the platform via your specified standard browser.
- News ticker
You can call up the news ticker of your private room and see which new posts have been received. The news ticker also contains the contributions from the bulletin boards of groups and work rooms. You can post and comment on existing posts.
- very current
Here you can get the latest news from the open portal area. These are both messages from the specialist office as well as important selected messages from the specialist world.
Private vs. common device
When it is started for the first time, the app asks whether a private device is being used. If the device is not a private device, but a device shared with other people, push notifications and the storage of logins in the app are not available for data protection reasons.
The same login as for platform login in the browser is required to access the over-all app. Logins can be saved in the app (and of course deleted). For security reasons, the user can prevent the app from logging in on a device via the platform itself by deleting the app entry in his private area under "Settings", "External Services". This is e.g. useful if the device in question has been lost or stolen.
When logging in on a private device, push notifications are automatically activated. You will then receive messages about new messages and system messages at any time until you log out of the app or manually deactivate the push message in the Android settings for the app.
