You can expect adventure bike tours in our great nature with a variety of stories, quizzes and information on sights from the district of Aschaffenburg.
With the app "Denk mal - Rad mal im LKR AB" you have the opportunity to get to know the district and its diverse sights even better in an entertaining way. On the way in the region, you will be made aware of special features at various stations along the adventure bike tours.
With the app that accompanies the cycle path, you can easily and playfully access a wealth of information about regional specialties. In addition to over 35 listening stations for stories and legends, guessing games such as quizzes and picture puzzles, 360° panoramas, videos and photos, the app can also be used to add selected motifs to reality. Thanks to the technology of "Augmented Reality" - in German "extended reality" - the bike tours are now becoming real adventure tours.
To start the adventure excursion, you decide on one of the three adventure bike tours that run through the three regions in the Kahlgrund, in the Spessart and along the Main:
Up and down in the Spessart (approx. 25 km):
Through the lovable and protected Spessart, along the communities of Heimbuchenthal and Mespelbrunn, this route takes you up and down through our breathtaking and valuable forest landscape.
Kahlg circuit (approx. 60 km):
On this curved tour through the diverse Kahlgrund, you can find out more about Alzenau Castle or the former EU center in addition to mills, the eponymous river "Kahl" and the Panorama Platte in Johannesberg.
Main-Wein Circuit (approx. 51 km):
As the name suggests, this tour takes you along the Main and to Kahl and the Bachgau, among other places, where you can learn more about the regional wine.
As a joke, the project title "Denk mal - Rad mal" already indicates that the app is primarily aimed at cyclists who want to (re)discover the district and its monuments in an entertaining and informative way. The offer is of course suitable for young and old and is also intended for locals as well as visitors, hikers and walkers. The adventure bike tour app is also suitable for educational use in schools. It is recommended that application and sightseeing be done off-road, however a selection of content can also be accessed from the comfort of your own home.
