Awesome nikon d7100 Lost my remote a few weeks ago and haven't gotten around to buying a new one. That's when I decided to Google camera apps and I'm really glad I did. This app works extremely well on my d7100. Very easy to set up and also has what I believe to be a longer range than my original remote. I also think it is more consistent. Also you don't have to worry about buying those stupid little round batteries that don't seem to last long. Every time I went for my remote the battery was always dead. Great app thanks!!!
I have a Samsung S6 and have trued quite a few DSLR remotes using the IR blaster. This by far is the best i have found, both in terms of features and usability. It is also light on resources which is great. Just one thing on the wishlist: the app doesn't support windowed mode. With nougat supporting multiple screens, adding the windowed mode would make life better. One browse through music or surf the internet while the camera does its job
Genius App!!! Samsung Note 3 (built in IR) with Canon 5DMark3. It was set up in 30 sec - only selected the camera brand within the app and put the camera in self timer / remote mode! Works like a charm and it even offers time laps / intervalometer functionality without having to push the shutter release all the time! Solved a big problem for me! Graphic design is minimalistic and simple to use and functionality is fantastic!!! Great work guys!
Works beautifully with IR I didn't realize my Note 3 had an IR blaster until I was researching dslr controller apps. I found this one (which is free) and it works beautifully. The app itself is not very attractive but it doesn't need to be especially considering that the developer doesn't charge for it. Search Google to see if your phone has an IR blaster and if it does, download this app. If it does not you will need to buy/build extra hardware.
I just installed DSLR Remote onto my Galaxy S4 and initial tests with the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 are positive. I mostly plan on using this when the camera is mounted on a tripod and I am taking multiple long exposures in the night sky. Tested using the 'delay', 'interval' greater then my shutter speed, and 'shots' for multiple exposures under timer and works great. Tried two other products before finding this and they either didn't work at all, or weren't consistent. So looking forward to trying this out in the field
Works well but Works perfectly on my s5 controlling my cannon t3i. One thing though. It has a night mode where it turns the app red which is great! But it still leaves the titlebar bright blue which defeats the purpose of the night view. Wish it also made that red so as not to ruin night photography.
