About this app

As an important parameter for assessing kidney function, the glomerular filtration rate, or GFR, is widely used. With the eGFR app, you can calculate an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) based on serum creatinine.
For children and adolescents up to 18 years of age, the Schwartz formula is available. For adults, the CKD-EPI, MDRD and Cockcroft-Gault formulas can be used depending on the desired calculation.
In addition, the app provides background information on the individual formulas, guidance on the interpretation of GFR values, and information on risk reduction.
The eGFR app is intended solely for calculation and informational purposes and does not replace medical diagnosis, advice or treatment. Medical decisions should not be made solely on the basis of the information provided in the app. In case of health concerns, abnormal values, or before making medical decisions, medical advice should be sought.
