About this app

Filterfotograf – Photo Tools is an all-in-one photography toolkit designed for landscape photographers, long exposure photographers and anyone working with ND and graduated ND filters.

Instead of switching between different apps, Filterfotograf brings the most important calculation and planning tools together in one place – from measuring exposure and calculating ND filter times to depth of field, hyperfocal distance and choosing the right graduated filter.

ND FILTER CALCULATOR

Calculate long exposure times quickly and accurately. Select your current shutter speed and ND filter and the app calculates the required exposure time.

The ND calculator also supports more advanced workflows:

• Select and save the ND filters you actually own
• Use your personal filter selection directly in the calculator
• Combine two ND filters and automatically calculate the resulting exposure time
• Calculate very long exposure times
• Reverse calculation: enter your desired exposure time and let the app determine the required ND filter
• Get suggestions based on your selected personal filters
• Use the integrated countdown timer for your calculated exposure

This makes the ND calculator useful both for quick calculations in the field and for planning more complex long exposures.

LIGHT METER

Use your smartphone camera to measure the available light and determine suitable exposure settings. A practical additional tool when preparing a shot or when you need a quick exposure reference in the field.

HYPERFOCAL DISTANCE CALCULATOR

Calculate the hyperfocal distance for your camera setup. Select the relevant parameters and determine the focusing distance that provides the greatest possible depth of field – especially useful for landscape photography.

DEPTH OF FIELD CALCULATOR

Calculate depth of field based on focal length, aperture, sensor format and focusing distance. The tool helps you understand how much of your scene will appear acceptably sharp and supports more precise focusing decisions.

GND FILTER GUIDE
