Welcome to the "Gelsenkirchen tree app" from GELSENDIENSTE and the city of Gelsenkirchen!

The app gives you an overview of the trees in the city of Gelsenkirchen with the exception of the urban forests. There are currently almost 70,000 trees in our database, including around 26,000 urban street trees.


Information about each tree

All trees with their exact location can be found on the map in the app. By clicking on a tree symbol, you will receive further information on the respective tree, including information on the type, size and year of planting.


Take over casting sponsorship

You can also register as a watering godfather in the app and support GELSENDIENEEN - especially during longer periods of drought - with watering the trees. How it works? Very easily! Find your favorite tree on the map, click on "Take over a sponsorship!" And register with your email address.

Young trees in particular are dependent on an additional water supply in the first years after planting. With daily watering, 10 to 20 liters per tree are very helpful. You can find more information and tips in the app!

With your sponsorship, you make an important and valuable contribution to the preservation of the "green lung" of Gelsenkirchen and thus to a beautiful cityscape and a healthy city climate. Because trees filter the air, donate oxygen and provide the necessary shade and a pleasant cooling effect on hot days.
