▸ HOW TO WORK WITH FTPTOOL

1. Create a server profile: Name, host, port, username, and – optionally – password.

2. Connect: Tap the profile to connect instantly. Mark frequently used profiles as favorites.

3. Browse: Navigate through folders, use the path sheet for deep structures, open, edit, or download files.

4. Edit: Open, modify, and save text files directly in the integrated editor.

5. Upload: Move new files directly from your device's storage to the server.

6. Widget: Add favorites to your home screen and start the connection with a single tap.

▸ FTP OR SFTP?

SFTP transmits login credentials and file contents encrypted via SSH and is now standard for hosting providers. Classic FTP transfers data unencrypted due to its protocol – so please choose SFTP whenever possible. FTPTool supports both, allowing you to work with older servers as well.
