Experience home in a new way with the new leisure app for the northern Harz foreland
The leisure app is your practical assistant for your travel planning in the northern Harz foreland. The association area includes the district of Wolfenbüttel, the independent city of Salzgitter and the municipalities of Liebenburg, Lutter am Barenberge and the Goslar district of Vienenburg. The official app is therefore also recommended for all locals.
The first app version from the Northern Harz Foreland Tourismusverband e. V. was published in 2018 with the support of the Asse Future Fund.
One app for everything to do with "Leisure and Tourism":
Take your own personal break from everyday life and let your mind wander again - recharge your batteries! How long has it been, for example, that you took the time to take a walk in the woods or take an extended bike tour? The picturesque, hilly and lovely landscape between Harz and Heath is ideal for this!
Explore the unique half-timbered ensembles of Wolfenbüttel and Hornburg, let yourself be carried away into the past on a tour of centuries-old castles, monasteries, mansions and landscape parks or experience industrial culture up close on a factory tour. Walk in the footsteps of Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, Till Eulenspiegel, Wilhelm Busch and the first German Pope Clemens II and get to know their places of work.
Do you like it more adventurous? Then spend a few active hours e.g. For example, go wakeboarding on the Salzgittersee or explore the Lessing city of Wolfenbüttel by Segway. Find out how the Jägermeister conquered the whole world from here!
If it can be even more sporty: A canoe trip on the Oker allows you to explore the northern Harz foreland from a very special perspective. Or simply rediscover your homeland on an extended bike tour or hike.
The leisure app offers cultural and leisure activities, events, accommodation providers such as: hotels, guest houses, holiday apartments / houses, youth guest houses, RV parking spaces, restaurants and cafés, excursion destinations, blog posts, the Outdooractive tour portal, and much more.
If you wish, the leisure app can also be personalized so that you get exactly the data that interests you most. The Tourismusverband Nördliches Harzvorland e. V. data protection is very important! No personal data is collected with the leisure app.
The map function gives you a good overview of all points of interest (POI for short), which you can also save in a personal favorites list.
