Welcome to the new version of the Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail app.

Thank you for downloading or updating our mobile app. Following customer feedback this latest release features the option to start your ticket purchase from within the app. Once you have selected your passenger(s), train(s) and prices the app passes the booking over to our website to complete the transaction. Existing features include live train information and real-time train push alerts.

Ratings and reviews

Works OK in general. But delayed trains don't show up once their scheduled time has passed. That's very confusing. Also delays don't reflect correctly. Sometimes the delay disappears and train is on time again - you can miss it if you relied on that. The app is also frequently out of order due to backend problems.

No option to log in to save tickets to app. If you want to buy tickets you're sent to the website where you have to sign in every time. Needs a more straightforward way to book multiple trips in one go, instead of checking each one out individually.

App has much improved. Could be easier to search for late departures on the app, but you can order tickets and seats on it now. Why not put an electronic ticket on the app so we don't need paper?
