The Keyboard Designer is a complete keyboard that can be used in all apps. It gives you the freedom to customize them, design a new keyboard yourself or, after purchasing the extended design package, import pre-made keyboards. Not only can you change the colors, but you can also freely arrange the keys and assign functions to them.

This app does not request access to the network - therefore all data remains on your device!

A keyboard must match the following requirements:

1. No connection to the internet
A keyboard is used to enter very private data like passwords. Due to this a keyboard must not request a connection to the internet. Only by this it is possible to ensure that no data can be send by the device! Also contacts or similar private data must not be accessed by the keyboard. This means: no permissions for the app!

2. Individual adjustments
The keyboard is the most used app on a mobile device. Therefore ist must be perfectly adjustable to the needs of the user! The position of the keys, it dimensions, labels, colors and borders do define the look. By the assignment of a powerfull function the user can enter a text very fast. So with this app you can create the keyboard like you need it. This means: all options to you!

3. Easy usage
As the screen size is very limited, entering a text is not easy. The present functions and their smart accessability allow the usage even in hard conditions (walk with mobile device in one hand and a coffee in the other) or for handicaped people. An edit bar shows the entered letters in a hughe way and allows to manipulate them directly. If it is not obvious which key was pressed, a resized view of the keyboard is shown with big keys. And if you ever want to do any changes on the keyboard, you can hit a key to open the designer and make it so!

4. Speed
A keyboard must react on a keypress very fast - otherwise errors are the logical consequence. This app does not use the functions to implement a keyboard that are provided by the system, but it shows all keys in a graphic. If a key is touched, its assigned function is send to the editor. Its very fast due to this simplified structure.

After the installation some example designs are shown. They alread contain all necessary keys and can be used or modified (e.g. to add your own special characters like umlauts, glyphs, change duration of pressed keys or make big keys). It is also possible to make completely new designs.

HINT: When the keyboard is selected, a hint is shown by the system, that the keyboard can collect data. This is shown even when a keyboard has no internet connection and it cannot send any data!

Ratings and reviews

Don't usually review apps but this one is pretty good! Navigation can be a bit tough though. For example, I can't access the special characters part of the keyboard (You know, where the !#%/÷= symbols and stuff are), and making accent marks is also so difficult because it says the option to put a certain key under the hold section under the main key but it doesn't seem to work. Other than that, it is pretty great!

very good. but -1 for the non dark mode 'non-auto correct' menu -1 for not being able to remove or move buttons to another line. - 1 for not being able to shorten the keyboard overall. will continue to test to see if it is for me. edit. was not for me but bumped to 3 stars. if you can do the above, it is not intuitive to do.

It's a really good app for designing custom keyboards! The only problem I have is with whenever my keyboard tries to be in capital mode, where it occasionally disappears, and when I switch back to lowercase, it says that an error has occured. Also, whenever it does this, the app itself only shows the keyboard, tab buttons and changelog button and whenever I try to click the middle part where everything else usually is, the app closes. If this didn't happen, I'd rate it 5 stars.
