About this app

The app assists researchers working with luminescent sensors to monitor temperature based on emitted color. Users can create their own database: after photographing each temperature point, linear regression is used to interpolate the averages of the regions captured and segmented by the user. The process involves using a temperature controller for comparison, helping the user assign the correct temperature to each capture. Captures must be performed in the absence of ambient light to avoid noise.

Step-by-Step:

Enter the sample name and click (+).

Enter the temperatures one at a time, clicking (+) after each.

Note that only the first row has a green gear icon, which is responsible for image processing.

To photograph the sensor and process the image, click the (+) on the row with the gear. This will open the camera.

By clicking the gear icon in the camera interface, you can adjust ISO and Exposure; Focus is fixed at 10cm.

After capturing, it is time to process or segment the image. Click the three dots icon to choose between RGB and HSV color spaces, as well as the output channel used for the average and temperature correlation.

Use the toggle switch to enable binary mode (black for excluded areas, white for included areas) to better visualize the calculation area.

The three slider buttons help section the desired output channel, eliminating unnecessary parts. Click (v) to save.

For subsequent temperatures, simply capture the image, as processing and segmentation will be applied automatically.

Once all temperatures are set, click the (Play) button. Press (Start) to measure; the app will calculate the current temperature every 1 second based on the chosen output channel.
