About this app

The app "DD Neuro - Differential Diagnosis Neurology" is an efficient and reliable tool for prospective and practicing doctors to expand and check their differential diagnostic knowledge.

Are you confronted with a symptom or a constellation of symptoms and are you wondering whether you have thought of all the relevant differential diagnoses? You may also be wondering whether a certain symptom occurs in a disease or which symptoms occur at all in a particular disease?
The app includes all essential as well as numerous rare neurological and neuropediatric disorders and diseases from related disciplines, especially internal medicine and psychiatry, as well as the associated symptoms and paraclinical findings.
When entering symptoms, it enables the search for a possible common cause by listing the possible clinical pictures, weighted according to their frequency of occurrence. This enables you to check whether you have not considered one or more potential differential diagnoses.
If you would like to find out more about a specific clinical picture, the app provides an overview of the associated symptoms in order to further narrow down the diagnostic options.

Check your differential diagnostic knowledge!

Even in your own specialist area, it is almost impossible to keep track of all clinical pictures. In everyday clinical practice, however, overlooking therapeutically relevant differential diagnoses can be dangerous for patients and forensically relevant for the attending physician. The same applies to the neighboring disciplines of neurology and neuropediatrics, for example internal medicine.
The app was developed by neurologist Prof. Dr. med. Carl D. Reimers and Prof. Dr. med. Andreas Bitsch designed. It contains the clinical and paraclinical symptoms and their causes of disease listed in standard textbooks and special works, as well as numerous rare diseases. The publishers are continuously expanding and updating the database.
This app is ideally suited for students, prospective medical specialists and lecturers in medicine, in particular in the fields of neurology, neuropediatrics, internal medicine and general medicine, as well as outpatient and inpatient specialists in the areas mentioned who want to check their knowledge and / or further educate themselves.
