The app eϪⲱⲙ (eGohm) – Coptic Books contains prayers, books and texts of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Coptic, German and Arabic. Inspired by the widespread app Coptic Reader, this primarily serves the German-speaking area.
The Coptic word Ϫⲱⲙ (Gohm) means book. (It is pronounced ˈgoːm, i.e. with a long o as in Ohm). The presented e stands for electronic.
The app currently includes the Coptic prayer book - the Agpeya. More books and texts will be added one after the other.
The texts are the official version of the Coptic Diocese of Southern Germany based in St. Antonius Kloster Kröffelbach.
These texts are protected by copyright. Unless expressly stated otherwise, all rights belong to the Coptic-Orthodox St. Antonius Monastery in 35647 Waldsolms-Kröffelbach, Germany.
Biblical texts in the prayers are available in the following German Bible translations. The user can select the specific Bible translation in the settings. The use has been authorized by the publisher.
