Kosmos Lab guides you through the KOSMOS Festival 2026 in Chemnitz—from the program and your route to the stage to the people you'll meet there.

PLAN YOUR DAY
Browse through all the program items, filter by topic, and save what interests you. Your list is saved on your device and works offline. If you wish, the app will remind you before events begin.

FIND YOUR WAY AROUND THE GROUNDS
A three-dimensional map shows stages, entrances, food and drink options, and the nearest restroom. For each location, you can see its accessibility. For evening performance venues in the city, the map switches to city view.

MEET PEOPLE
If you like, create a profile and see who else is there—sorted by shared interests. A connection is only established if both parties agree: only then will a chat open, and only then will information you've previously hidden become visible. You can report and block users at any time.

OFFLINE MESSAGES — AT THE FESTIVAL
On a crowded festival grounds, the mobile network can quickly become overloaded. The app offers an alternative: Short messages travel directly from phone to phone via Bluetooth until they arrive—completely network-free and without servers. You send a code to anyone you want to join the conversation; the messages are end-to-end encrypted. This feature is available from the start. It requires at least one other device with the app within Bluetooth range—if used alone at a desk, the app will constantly display "searching for devices."

LIVE TRANSLATION
Selected stages will be translated live and streamed to your phone—ideal for anyone who might otherwise have trouble following the program.

CITIZEN INITIATIVES
Local projects will be presented on the Initiatives Mile. You can browse and comment on them in the app.

USE WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
The program, map, and live translation do not require registration. An account is only required if you want to create a profile and connect with others—then you can do so via email code or "Sign in with Google," without a password.

DATA PROTECTION
The app belongs to a non-profit organization. There is no advertising, no tracking, and no sharing of your data with third parties. The app only processes your location when you tap on it on the map; it never leaves your device.
