ABOUT THE AUDIO GUIDE
Let the audio guide accompany you through the exhibition and experience the graphic work of Max Beckmann. Through drawing, the artist formed his worldview, developed complex compositions, and considered variations and intensifications. The works in the exhibition testify to the existential necessity of the drawing process, but also to Beckmann's boundless creative energy. The audio guide is available in German, comprises 14 stations, and lasts approximately 30 minutes.

Max Beckmann—one of the most important artists of the 20th century—drew throughout his life. His drawings reveal a unique cosmos. The Städel Museum presents 80 outstanding works from all phases of his career, showcasing Beckmann as an interpreter of the world who was as idiosyncratic as he was compelling.
