About this app
The APP is aimed at forest visitors, forest owners, municipalities, fire brigades, media representatives but also at forest companies, forest workers, forest service providers as well as forest, fire protection, rescue service and disaster control authorities and provides information about
- the current official forest fire risk level of the DWD on the day and on
Location as well as in the Saxon forest fire forecast regions,
- the danger level forecasts for the following days,
- Preventive and special rules of conduct when there is a risk of forest fires and when there is a high risk
and very high forest fire risk (levels 4 and 5),
- Instructions on how to behave in the event of a fire and how to report a forest fire and
over
- the location coordinates and the nearest rescue points (currently
State forest of the Free State of Saxony, the LK Görlitz and the city forest of Leipzig)
in Saxony.
The APP is provided by the Sachsenforst state enterprise and implemented in cooperation with the German Weather Service and the Central German Agency for Information Service GmbH (mais).
02/23/2021 - New functions:
The new version of the forest fire hazard Saxony app allows you to receive push notifications, which you can use to find out about changes in forest fire warning levels in your region.
Via "Options / Configuration Notifications" you can select levels 3, 4 and 5 for your region for which you will receive push notifications
wish when the respective level is reached, exceeded or also undershot again.
If you have set push notifications for your region and have not received any, please check the following:
1. Notifications must be enabled in the app settings (Notifications On).
2. Check the settings in 'Do not disturb' mode.
3. Depending on the operating system (especially Android 6.x), further steps may be necessary:
Set the receipt of messages to 'High priority' in the app settings.
List the app in the battery / rechargeable battery settings as a 'non-optimized app'.
In the settings under 'Protected apps', set the forest fire app to 'ON'.
Data access in the background (Background Data) must be set to 'On'.
Sometimes restarting the device can help.
In individual cases, depending on your provider, the delivery of push notifications may be restricted if you are connected to a WLAN.
